Career Grade Policy
The Career Grade Policy supports employee development and retention by providing clear and transparent career progression pathways within designated career graded posts. It explains how career graded roles are established, the criteria for progression, and the responsibilities of employees, managers, and directors in supporting career development. The policy ensures that progression is based on demonstrated skills, knowledge, experience, performance, and organisational need, available work and budget provision, helping employees grow their careers while supporting the Council’s workforce planning and retention objectives.
