Introduction
Flu is a severe and highly contagious respiratory infection and is one of the biggest causes of short-term illness in the UK.
It can be much more severe than a common cold and, in the worst cases, can be very serious in young children or older people, as well as those at higher risk due to health reasons.
Vaccination helps to reduce the chance of you catching flu and becoming severely ill. Plus in protecting yourself, you are helping to protect your colleagues, the rest of the community and our most vulnerable residents.
How to get a vaccine
The process for applying for a flu voucher for 2025-26 has now closed. Details for the 2026-27 scheme, including the addition of workplace vaccinations for staff will be available here and shared in our internal comms updates later this summer.
