    Introduction

With our eyecare voucher scheme, there are two offers available to staff:

    Please note:
Vouchers can only be used at Specsavers opticians. We will not reimburse any claims for eye tests or glasses from other providers.

    Display screen equipment (DSE) users

You are classed as a DSE user if you use display screen equipment throughout your working day for at least an hour at a time.

    Display screen equipment includes:

    • PCs
    • laptops
    • tablets
    • TVs
    • smartphones.

    DSE eyecare voucher

If you are a DSE user, and it has been at least two years since your last eye test, you can receive a full eye examination at any Specsavers opticians at no cost to you.

If at your eye test appointment your optician determines that you need new or replacement glasses, depending on your choice and requirements, you can either get them free of charge or receive money towards them.

    Premium club voucher

If you need new glasses, but do not qualify as a DSE user, or you do not need an eye test, you can request a premium club voucher.

This is available to all of our employees and will give you £20 off any glasses on the £100 range or above purchased at Specsavers opticians.

    Money towards glasses

If you need glasses for display screen equipment only, you will receive either:

    • free glasses from the £50 range fitted with PENTAX CR39 single vision lenses and scratch resistant treatment
    • a £50 discount on glasses in the ranges over £50 and below £100
    • a £50 discount, on the £100 range or above. Plus an extra £20 off as part of the premium club option (£70 total discount).

If you need glasses that are not solely for use with display screen equipment, you will receive a £20 discount, on the £100 range or above. This is offered through our premium club membership.

    Please note:
Vouchers can only be used to purchase new glasses. They can not be used towards the cost to reglaze or replace existing lenses.
