1.Before you apply

On this page:

    Introduction

Once you have worked through pages 1 to 3 of theĀ cycle to work criteria, this guidance will help you apply for the cycle to work scheme.

    Who this section is for

This is for any member of staff who is interested in the cycle to work scheme and can confirm that:

    • you and your commute to work qualifies
    • your salary will not fall below the minimum wage rates.

Before you continue, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions below.

Once you are ready to place your order, there are two options available for hiring a bike and/or cycling equipment. You can choose from:

    Terms and conditions

When you sign a cycle to work scheme hire agreement you agree to the following terms and conditions and responsibilities.

You must make sure that you:

    • maintain your cycle equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions
    • use your cycle equipment in a safe and legal manner
    • make sure your bike remains in good condition and you pay to repair any damage.
    Please note:

You must not loan, lease, sell, hire or dispose of the equipment for the duration of your hire agreement.

    Insurance

While you are hiring a bike through the cycle to work scheme, we recommend that you take out insurance to cover its full value.

If your bike is lost, stolen or damaged, you must still make the hire payments until your agreement ends.

Lost, stolen or damaged bike or cycling equipment

If your bike and/or cycling equipment is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during your hire agreement period you must:

    • notify Vivup
    • replace the bike and/or any cycling equipment with items of equivalent value. Your salary sacrifice deductions will then apply to the new bike and/or cycle equipment until your original agreement has ended.
