Staff MOTs and Boditrax:

2.Body composition scan (Boditrax)

On this page:

    Introduction

A staff MOT gives you the opportunity to have a full body composition scan on a state-of-the-art Boditrax machine.

This scan provides you with a detailed report, that includes metric data that can tell you things like whether you are dehydrated or if you have high muscle mass. It can help you to decide on realistic exercises and fitness goals.

Download the Boditrax app, and you’ll be able to review the results of your scan at any time, and track your goals progress.

What happens during a Boditrax scan

Your Boditrax scan will consist of the following steps.

    1
    Login to Boditrax

Before your scan starts, you’ll need to log in to Boditrax so that your data can be added to your personal profile.

If you do not have an account, you’ll be able to set one up when you first step onto the machine.

You’ll also need to start your personal profile, and will be asked a range of questions, including your age and height.

    2
    Complete the scan

In just 30 seconds the Boditrax medically approved body analyser will carry out a complete scan of your body, and show you your:

    • weight
    • body fat mass
    • muscle mass
    • water mass
    • bone mass
    • abdominal cavity fat
    • metabolic rate
    • physique type
    • metabolic age.

These will be displayed to you via a range of body maps.

    3
    Discuss the results

Your staff MOT assessor will go through each of the maps and:

    • explain each of the different metrics
    • tell you what your results are
    • advise on what you could do to improve your health and lower your risk of developing particular health problems.

They can also advise you how your data can help you to:

    • manage weight loss
    • increase energy and fitness levels
    • build muscle
    • boost wellbeing and/or just be healthier.

    Download the Boditrax app

Following your scan, you’ll be able to login to your Boditrax app and:

    • review your metric data at any time

    • add the results of your other checks, such as your blood pressure or cholesterol

    • set personalised goals

    • track your progress each time you return for a scan.
