4.Your occupational health referral - employee guidance

    If your manager has made an occupational health referral on your behalf, this outlines what you now need to do, and what you can expect to happen next.

    Occupational health portal account

    Your manager should contact you to ask you to:

    • set up an account on the occupational health portal, if you do not already have one
    • access and check the referral report they have created.

    Check the referral report

    Follow the steps below to access and check your referral report.

    Referral review

    The occupational health service will review the information provided in your referral report and decide on the best course of action.

    If the outcome of the report is that you need to attend an occupational health assessment, the occupational health service will arrange this. This is usually a telephone appointment.

    If any other actions are required, you or your manager can speak to your nominated HR officer for advice. If you are not sure who this is:

    Open the occupational health portal

    Use the button below to open the occupational health portal and sign in with your email address and password.

    Access the report

    Select the Reports tab.

    On the Current report dropdown, select Management referral report (manager referral).

    The report will then be displayed.

    If you have any concerns with the information provided in your referral report, please discuss these directly with your manager.
