    Introduction

    As a member of council staff, if you have knee, hip or back pain, you can apply for the ESCAPE-pain programme by self-referral.

    How to apply

    Follow these steps to apply for the ESCAPE-pain hip and knee or ESCAPE-pain back programme.

    Contact Live Well Work Well

    To self-refer to the ESCAPE-pain programme, you can:

    In your email, make sure you include which programme you are applying for - hip and knee or back.

    What happens next

    Your request to take part in the programme will be reviewed by the Live Well Work Well team who will contact you to gather more details and begin the registration process. If you meet the programme requirements, we will look to book you on to the next one.

    Completion of the programme

    At the end of your six-week programme, as a reward and to encourage you to build on the progress you have made, you will receive two vouchers to use at any East Riding Leisure site. The vouchers entitle you to a:

    • one month leisure membership
    • single use free gym and swim.

    The vouchers can be used at anytime and there is no expiry date. Only original vouchers will be accepted.

    Money towards glasses

    If you need glasses for display screen equipment only, you will receive either:

    • free glasses from the £50 range fitted with PENTAX CR39 single vision lenses and scratch resistant treatment
    • a £50 discount on glasses in the ranges over £50 and below £100
    • a £50 discount, on the £100 range or above. Plus an extra £20 off as part of the premium club option (£70 total discount).

    If you need glasses that are not solely for use with display screen equipment, you will receive a £20 discount, on the £100 range or above. This is offered through our premium club membership.

    Please note:
    Vouchers can only be used to purchase new glasses. They can not be used towards the cost to reglaze or replace existing lenses.
