Web and intranet maintenance:

1.Website maintenance

On this page:

    Introduction

There are a number of websites and digital systems that East Riding of Yorkshire Council maintain in-house. This includes our corporate site with all the information and online self-service our residents and business owners need to access and be aware of the services we, as a council, provide. However, there are many other websites we maintain as well to provide a digital presence for the various council brands and income-generating services.

The digital services (web) team are responsible for the development and maintenance of the websites, as well making sure each website is fully accessible. Services are responsible for the content of the websites and webpages associated to them, and will need to consult the digital services (web) team for changes, edits, requests and anything related to the websites.

Some websites, or certain aspects of websites such as the East Riding Leisure booking system, for example, are maintained by the IT team.

    Text or document changes

To request simple content changes, such as:

    • text amends to an existing page
    • new or updated page links
    • new or updated documents
    • new directory entries or edits to an existing entry, for example a What's On event listing or venue information.

    Changes to functionality

These are requests that would involve work from a web developer, meaning they are slightly more complex and will need to be planned and scheduled in.

    These include:

    • a new decision tree - or an amendment to an existing one
    • a change to a directory, such as new categories
    • updates to an announcements feed.

    Online forms

The majority of our online forms are produced by the AchieveForms team. However we also create a few simple forms in-house using our Typeform application.

To comply with our data protection policy, we can only use Typeform for forms that do not collect personal data.

If you would like to make a change to an existing Typeform we have created for you:
