Introduction
This is a dynamic mapping application that we use to create interactive maps to visualise and explore the council’s data.
Application overview
GIS mapping is used:
- to show council-owned assets, such as buildings, streetlights and gritting routes, on mapping layers
- to find addresses in the LLPG (Local Land and Property Gazetteer) database
- within online forms to help our residents request services and report issues
- to highlight the demographics of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Interactive maps also provide the opportunity to explore the data and can influence change.

General viewing
A range of maps are available to view in our ‘You may also like’ section. You do not need a login to view these.
Licensed users
To access the admin area of GIS maps, you will need a licence.
If you work in role where you are required to build maps, your manager will arrange a licence for you.

Help and support
Licensed users with authorisation to raise a support request can do this via the GIS mapping application.
If you do not have authorisation to raise a request, please discuss the issue with your line manager, or nominated authorised person. If they are unable to resolve the issue, they can raise a request on your behalf.
