1.About staff parking permits

On this page:

    Introduction

If you travel to work by car, light van or motorcycle, our staff parking permit scheme is designed to help you with parking costs.

The scheme is operated through MiPermit and enables us to offer staff a range of digital parking permits throughout the county.

Once you have a staff MiPermit account, you can choose from two different digital parking permits - monthly or flexible.

    Monthly parking permits

A monthly parking permit could save you money if you park regularly for work in any of the following towns:

    • Beverley
    • Bridlington
    • Driffield
    • Hornsea
    • Howden.
    • Ideal for staff who work full-time.

    • Can be used in one or more car parks in the same town on the same day.

    • All day parking, 7 days a week.

    • Update your vehicle registration as and when required.

    Permit types and costs

Permits are available in the following locations:

    Flexible parking permits

If you do not travel to the office every day, you may find it more useful to buy a batch of flexible parking tickets.

Just park in one of the allocated Beverley car parks, then make sure your permit is activated before you leave your car.

    • Aimed at staff who need to park in Beverley for work.

    • Ideal if you work part-time, or split your working week between the office and home.

    • Use more than one Beverley-based car park on the same day - ideal for travelling to meetings.

    • All day parking (Monday to Friday only).

    Car parks

Parking in a permitted car park

Your permit allows you to park in any car park listed under your chosen permit.

As our car parks are also available to the public, parking is on a first come, first served basis. We do not reserve spaces and we are unable to guarantee you will be able to find a space in your chosen car park.

If you cannot find a space in your chosen car park, you can try one or more of the alterative car parks listed for your permit.

    Scheduled or emergency works

From time to time we may need to carry out essential maintenance works in our car parks, which may result in:

    • a number of car park spaces being suspended
    • the closure of the car park.

We will display a notice (with dates and times) 7 days before the work begins (unless it is an emergency situation).

If your vehicle is parked in a suspended bay when essential work needs to be carried out, your vehicle may be moved to a safe place as near as possible to its original location.

    Please note:

If you park in a suspended parking bay, or closed car park, where a notice of works has been displayed, you will be liable for any penalty charge notice issued.
