6.Access an on-demand service - landline telephone

    Introduction

    If you need to speak with someone who has limited or no English, you can use the landline interpreting service. You’ll just need a PIN to access this.

    Make sure you have followed steps 1, 2 and 3, and identified the language that your customer speaks before you continue.

    Get your PIN

    If you have an account for the AA Global main portal, follow the instructions below.

    Please note:

    You do not need an account to use the landline interpreting service. Some teams just have one person who is responsible for issuing PINs to all team members.

    Open the AA Global main portal

    Use the button below to open the application. Then log in using your unique username and password.

    Browser issue:

    Please do not use Internet Explorer to access this application as it is not supported. If you are using a PC or laptop, please use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

    Go to your profile

    My profile

    Under the My Bookings menu, select My Profile.

    Make a note of your PIN

    Reveal PIN number

    A box similar to the above will then be displayed.

    Hover over the question marks (?) to reveal your PIN.

    Access the interpreting service

    Start the call

    To start the call, you can:

    Enter PIN

    You can either say or key in your four digit PIN, followed by the hash (#) key.

    Choose language

    Press the star (*) key.

    To specify the language you need you can either:

    • say it into the telephone microphone
    • use the keys on the telephone keypad (refer to image above) to type the language you need.

    The automated service will confirm the language to you. Select either of the following:

    • 1 to confirm this is the correct language
    • 0 to reset and try again.

    Wait to be connected

    Hold on the line while you are connected to an interpreter.

    If AA Global are experiencing a high number of calls for your chosen language, you will be redirected to an operator so they can help connect you to an interpreter.
