3.Catering collection service

    Introduction

    If you are holding a meeting or event outside of County Hall, and require refreshments, our in-house catering team offer a collection service.

    Catering orders can be collected from County Hall between 8.30am and 5pm (you’ll need to select a 15-minute time slot).

    Please note: you must have consent from the budget holder to order catering. You will need a valid cost and detail code.

    Looking for catering at other venues?

    Some of our other venues also offer catering. Please check with them directly when you book your meeting room.

    Request a collection

    Follow the steps to request a collection.

    When placing your order, make sure you:

    • meet the minimum catering order numbers for your chosen menu
    • submit your request at least three days (72 hours) in advance
    • have a valid cost and detail code.

    Collect your order

    Collect your order from the green kitchen door of block J, opposite the main staff entrance, off Champney Road.

    Please note:

    You’ll need to knock on the door to get attention.

    Cancel your order

    You can cancel your order at any time prior to you receiving it. However, the earlier the cancellation, the less you will be charged.

    Cancellation fees

    You may be charged a cancellation fee depending on the notice provided:

    • 4 days (96 hours) notice - no charge
    • 3 days (72 hours) notice - 25% of the total charge
    • 2 days (48 hours) notice - 50% of the total charge
    • 1 day (24 hours) notice - 75% of the total charge
    • same day cancellation - charged the full amount.

    Refreshments (8am to 5pm)

    Our refreshments menu, available from 8am to 5pm, includes:

    • sweet treats - cakes, biscuits, or mini scones with jam and butter
    • hot drinks - tea and coffee
    • cold drinks - orange juice, bottled water and fizzy drinks.

    Minimum order: six attendees.

    Breakfast

    Our breakfast menu, available from 8am to 11.30am, includes:

    • savoury - bacon or sausage sandwiches
    • fruit platters and yoghurts
    • hot drinks - tea and coffee
    • cold drinks - orange juice and bottled water.

    Minimum order: 10 attendees.

    Lunch

    Our lunch menu, available 11.30am to 2.30pm, includes:

    • sandwiches
    • vegetable platters
    • sausage and vegan rolls
    • sweet treats - cakes, biscuits, or mini scones with jam and butter
    • fruit platters and yoghurts
    • hot drinks - tea and coffee
    • cold drinks - orange juice, bottled water and fizzy drinks.

    Minimum order: 10 attendees.
